Dear Medium,

Thank you for giving me a chance. A chance to develop my voice. A chance to build a writer platform while finding my tribe. This open space that I can fill with my vision, my creativity, my inner thoughts, my life lessons and advice, my experiences, and most of all, my poetry, has become an integral part of my life.

I look forward to spending valuable time with my tribe. I am developing friendships and working partnerships with some truly wonderful people. And you, Medium, are giving me that opportunity to grow in relationship with other like-minded, talented, and driven people.

Thank you for giving me the ability to make a little money off of my writing. My family is going through a very difficult time right now financially and the MPP is giving me hope. Wednesday has become my favorite day of the week — when I can get a monetary number, compare it to my previous weeks, and strive for progress. Each week as I strive to do better for myself and my family, you give me opportunity and a platform to do so.

I am grateful to you for rewarding some of my hard work and vision with curations and Top Writer statuses. These milestones encourage me to continue to improve my work. I am grateful for the hard work of the curators who tirelessly comb through mounds of material — so when they select my work from the pile and give it a thumbs up with a curation, it matters so much to me.

So, yes, thank you Medium. Hope is a valuable thing.

Poetically yours,
Christina Ward
Medium writer

P.S. — If you ever make a Top Writer status for a Nature tag — I’ll be ALL OVER that top spot!

If you’d like to thank our Medium staff and curators — even other writers — feel free to leave a comment of love for them!
