How does a repetitious topic imply the ability of a reader to discern content? Just because I can read about the nutrient uptake of basidiophytes or the mating strategies of Corvidae doesn’t mean that I read this material all of the time. I assure you, these readers you are both insulting have various levels of reading and interests — none of which implies their ability to be a “critical” reader. Perhaps the criticism of readers in general (along with the consistent boasting of the author in this case) needs to just stop.
