My newest poem is not on Medium. I feel almost like I’m cheating on my favorite writing platform. It was strange to open that blinking cursor on another writing platform’s page, type out a heart-felt poem and hit that “submit” button. I don’t even know anyone there. But — being so heavily fiction-based — it seems people there are writing because they love it. And they are reading because they love it.

And I am ok with that.
