Thank you Gregory. I think it is wonderful that you are working on a solution for these loopholes. I am a living loophole. I agree a specialist is needed but one would think my doctor would send me to one or direct me. The ortho doctor that I saw recently said “I think you have a pain disorder and the best people to evaluate you and diagnose that would be at the pain clinic. have you had a referral for there yet?” I was flabbergasted. Why haven’t I had that referral??

Well, it’s a start. We have several in the area and I have to save up the funds to go but at least it is an option. In the meantime, I will be getting a quality CBD oil to use orally. I am told by other people through this experience that it is the only thing helping them and marijuana is not legal here for any use. (And at this point I am desperate enough to try that.)

You gave a lot of thoughtful advice and great attention to my comment. I am thankful for that. Thank you for such a great article and for your direction.

I truly believe there are alternative treatments that will help me and I will find them. With the way the system is here you rarely see a family doctor anymore. I think the NP must be limited in what they can diagnose. My teeth hurt — you have depression. Here’s an SSRI. My skin is red on my ankle — you have depression — here’s an SSRI. You get the picture. Depression very often=pain. But Pain does not always=Depression. This is where my treatment seems to be going wrong. And there are no parameters in place to screen for and weed out drug-seekers so therefore the equation is pain=drug-seeker. NOT always true! I just want to figure out why the pain flare-ups and how to manage them — that’s all.

Thank you again! I hope that the new service you are working on will have an APP. This may be helpful. That way wherever people are located, they can use the app. Part of my problem is seeing this doctor for 2 years before they tell me they do not treat pain. This would have been helpful day one.
