…communication. Far too often journalists do a horrible job of communicating the results of a paper. Scientists and other scholars need to take some more time to communicate our own findings, or at least we should take the time to find someone who can communicate these findings in a reasonable way.
There has always been a bit of a chasm between scientific findings and communicating those findings effectively to the public. I think you are onto a great idea here but if you want the general public to have more access, then some of it would need to be out of the metered paywall to generate interest or communicate a snapshot of the data. I like your ideas — I wish you luck in building these concepts into application.
