Member-only story
Working from home and getting things done. It’s going to be another lovely day here in NC.
I woke up early and set out to tick off all the things I wrote with hope on my to-do list for the day. Give Josie a haircut and a bath. Put the flea meds on her and the cat. Do the laundry. Post this and post that. Edit everything. The list crawled into that “how in the world will I…” space and set up camp. But the day is young and I have ticked three boxes. Those checkmarks speak directly to my sense of self-worth. Oh, how I long for one day to just BE and have that be….OK.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.— Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
